Wesley Partners FAQs Senior Living Homes in Northeast Texas Answer Your FAQs

Get Clear Answers to Your Most Difficult Questions

Choosing the best way to care for your loved one is never easy, but clear information makes the process less stressful.

These FAQs are here to guide you as you weigh what’s best for your loved one.

Start by considering your loved one’s daily needs, health, and lifestyle.

    • Independent living works well for active seniors who can manage daily tasks but want the convenience of maintenance-free living and social opportunities.

    • Assisted living is ideal if help with personal care—such as bathing, dressing, or medication management—would make life safer and less stressful.

    • Memory care provides a secure environment and specialized support for those with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

Speak with their doctor. Our team can also guide you through options and help you match the level of care to your loved one’s unique needs.

Assisted living provides just the right amount of support to make daily life simpler and safer, while still preserving independence. It’s a comfortable option for seniors who need more help than living alone allows, but don’t require the skilled, medical-level care of a nursing home.

Assisted living is not the same as a nursing home. While our communities have a licensed nurse on staff, we do not provide round-the-clock nursing care. Instead, assisted living is a residential model where residents enjoy more choice, independence, and comfort in their daily routines. Talking with your doctor can help determine whether this level of care is the best fit.

We do not provide skilled nursing care. However, Physical Therapy, Home Health, and Hospice services can be brought into our communities just as they would be in a private home. Our goal is to keep residents with us as long as possible, though there are times—such as after surgery—when a short nursing home or rehabilitation stay may be necessary before returning.

Our goal is to provide a stable home where residents can remain as long as possible. If needs change, we adjust support by adding personal care services or coordinating with outside providers like physical therapy, home health, or hospice—similar to what could be arranged in a private home. We’ll work closely with you to evaluate options and create a plan that maintains comfort and dignity.

Residents may continue seeing their own physicians, just as before. We can also arrange transportation to and from appointments, and a family member may accompany them if needed.

Yes. While not required by assisted living regulations, we believe it’s in our residents’ best interest. A licensed nurse visits each community regularly, supported by trained supervisors and personal care assistants on duty 24 hours a day. This added oversight gives families extra confidence in their loved one’s well-being.

Yes. Our communities are designed to remain accessible and supportive, helping residents live safely and comfortably even with mobility challenges. Unless unusual circumstances apply, we welcome individuals who need assistance with ambulation.

Unfortunately, no community can prevent all falls, as they are a natural part of aging. What we can do is provide a safe environment and staff caregivers around the clock to reduce risks as much as possible and provide care when necessary. While we cannot provide one-on-one oversight at all times, we maintain practices that prioritize both safety and dignity.

Monthly rates are designed to keep costs simple and predictable. In assisted living and memory care, this fee covers the apartment, three daily meals, housekeeping, laundry, activities, and personalized support with daily tasks. For independent living, meals may be an optional add-on, allowing residents to choose the plan that fits their lifestyle. In every case, families can add outside services such as therapy or specialized care, ensuring your loved one only pays for the support they truly need.

No. Our communities operate on flexible, month-to-month leases with no hidden fees or large up-front costs. This makes the transition simpler and less stressful for families.

Absolutely. This is your home, and it should feel that way. We encourage residents to decorate their apartments with their own furniture, photos, and keepsakes to create a warm, familiar environment.

Living at Wesley Partners properties is much like living at home—you and your guests are free to come and go as you please. For residents in memory care, access is more limited to ensure their safety.
